Meet Dr. Alisa

Dr. Alisa Cooper is acutely aware that "Doctor"
in Latin means teacher.




As such, she combines hands-on chiropractic care with cutting-edge nutritional strategies, educating and championing her patients to cultivate a wellness lifestyle and mind set. When you step into her office, real or virtual (via Skype), you immediately sense her enthusiasm and her compassionate interest in you!

Dr. Cooper earned her undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of Delaware and is a summa cum laude graduate of New York Chiropractic College.  Soon after, she earned her certification in clinical nutrition from the International and American Association of Clinical Nutritionists and became highly sought-after for her nutritional consultations and presentations.  Dr. Alisa has published a cookbook and is the author of numerous health articles, newsletters and blogs.

A true educator, Dr. Cooper received her teaching certification from the University of Phoenix which allowed her the opportunity to teach high school biology and anatomy. Later, the Southwest Institute of Healing Arts provided the perfect program for Dr. Alisa to pursue study as a life coach and emerge as an innovator in the field of Wellness Coaching.

It was a natural progression for Dr. Alisa to become a certified EFT practitioner (Emotional Freedom Technique). “Besides physical pain, many people are struggling with self-limiting beliefs, emotional scars from failed relationships, self-esteem issues, weight problems and the like. EFT is a great tool for addressing these issues quickly and effectively.” Dr. Cooper integrates EFT into her wellness practice to help patients overcome barriers to achieving their wellness goals.

Dr. Cooper contends, “It doesn’t matter if you’re 15, 50 or 75, now is the time to get healthy and fit! Now is the time to live life to the fullest and do it as a healthy, energized and robust person. I can help you, and you will succeed!”

Dr. Cooper is passionate about the merits of exercise for both body and mind. She draws from her experience as a runner, hiker, triathlete and yoga enthusiast to inspire others to make exercise an important, and enjoyable, part of their wellness lifestyle.

Dr. Cooper is married to Dr. Michael Wechsler and has two adult sons and two dogs, a Miniature Schnauzer and a German Shepherd.
